April 1961: This picture totally illustrates his unfortunate movie career. I especially love the fake rock that's holding the surfboard. The whole thing exemplifies his Hollywood years. This was a Paramount [Studios] giveaway -- they sent out 8x10 color positives to the newspapers, which is very unusual.

I just want to write that when someone puts down Elvis (they are jealous)or pokes fun of his film career, "WHATEVER" They were purely films of ENTERTAINMENT,,,as a woman just looking at his beautiful face was enough for me. I could care less of his acting abilities or what the movie was about....His face, his body, the way he moved...There has NEVER EVER been another man of his "QUALITY".....
April 02 2008 at 1:14 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI was raised North of Memphis Tennessee, (Newbern) and I visited Elvis' grave site after his death. I was in the 4th grade when he died..and I still love his music and movies today.. God blessed us with a gifted Elvis... It is too bad that he heard the whispers of the devil telling him lies. Elvis didn't believe in himself...nor did he love himself...as much as he loved others those that he touched so dearly with his inspired words... from ABOVE. Rest with God's Love Elvis.....
