Eddie Vedder Ventures 'Into the Wild'

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder will unveil an original soundtrack featuring new solo material . Vedder's 'Hard Sun' will appear in 'Into the Wild', along with a slew of other folky ballads. Director Sean Penn hand-picked Vedder to provide the music for the film, starring Emile Hirsh and Vince Vaughn. The soundtrack is out September 18, three days before the movie hits the big screen. It DOES sound reminscent of Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive" but this sounds much better. Sorry but Eddie is not god & not exempt from recycling stuff he heard when he was growing up. I like Eddie & Pearl Jam but he's just a normal guy like anyone else.

Considering Eddie reffered to Jon Bon Jovi as an "ass rocker" a year or two ago I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there's no correlation between the song and Eddie's respect (or lack thereof) for Bon Jovi.

Jim - I think you took Eddie's comment's on Jon Bon Jovi out of context. I've never heard of an "ass rocker". Perhaps he meant "kick ass rocker"? You should check your facts. Are there any other songs like this one on the album. It is really neat!

Gav - the only thing Jim got wrong about Ed calling Jon Bon Jovi an "ass rocker" is that he said it in 2003, not a year or two ago, while playing the Wiltern in Los Angeles. Check your facts, Prof. Dick Weed.
