Rapper Weeds Out Kids

Brooklyn district attorney Charles Hynes apparently subscribes whole-heartedly to the theory that you can fool some of the people all of the time -- at least when those people are enrolled in public high schools. That's the only conceivable way we can explain the D.A.'s decision to enlist Wu-Tang Clan rapper Method Man in a "just say no" program aimed to keep kids from lighting up what some might call medicinal herbage. The MC responsible for such splifferific classics as 'How High' will preach the gospel of inhalation abstinence at more than a dozen New York City schools in order to fulfill the community service requirement he racked up in May -- as a result of a pot bust at a Big Apple toll booth. Fortunately, Meth wasn't required to give up his weed-referencing nom de disque as part of the deal. We'd hate to imagine him trying to take the stage under the moniker MC Nancy Reagan.
