It's been four months since the Jesus & Mary Chain dazzled sun-struck fans with their comeback gig at the Coachella festival last April, but the post-punk patriarchs are keen on keeping the moody magic alive. Reuniting feels so good, in fact, that the band -- led by brothers William and Jim Reid -- are entering the studio to record their first album of all-new material in nine years.Typically, making new music is the second kiss of death for a resurrected band, but considering the awesomeness of 'All Things Must Pass' -- the new tune JMC has been touting on tour recently -- we're willing to keep an open mind about the forthcoming studio sessions. The band will have a chance to work out any lingering kinks when they hit Vegas, L.A. and San Fran on a small West Coast tour this October.

That's some damn good stuff... someone on YouTube pointed out that their new drummer is Loz from Ride, which is awesome news. But for some really hilarious viewing action, check out the clip of them playing "Far Gone and Out" on Letterman way back when - it's got Letterman's band backing the JAMC, and the bass player couldn't look more out of place, bopping happily along while the band he's backing mope about in their classic listless way...
