The Jesus and Mary Chain Head Into the Studio

It's been four months since the Jesus & Mary Chain dazzled sun-struck fans with their comeback gig at the Coachella festival last April, but the post-punk patriarchs are keen on keeping the moody magic alive. Reuniting feels so good, in fact, that the band -- led by brothers William and Jim Reid -- are entering the studio to record their first album of all-new material in nine years.

Typically, making new music is the second kiss of death for a resurrected band, but considering the awesomeness of 'All Things Must Pass' -- the new tune JMC has been touting on tour recently -- we're willing to keep an open mind about the forthcoming studio sessions. The band will have a chance to work out any lingering kinks when they hit Vegas, L.A. and San Fran on a small West Coast tour this October.
