I personally think the lyrics towards the end of Stairway are more epic...

'And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul'.

Even though Achilles Last Stand is my favorite Led Zeppelin song I do give credit that this song is known by everyone when they hear Led Zeppelin.

    To corkync:

Die painfully okay? Prefearbly by getting crushed to death in a garbage compactor, by getting your face cut to ribbons with a pocketknife, your head cracked open with a baseball bat, your stomach sliced open and your entrails spilled out, and your eyeballs ripped out of their sockets. Fucking bitch

I would love to kick you hard in the face, breaking it. Then I'd cut your stomach open with a chainsaw, exposing your intestines. Then I'd cut your windpipe in two with a boxcutter. Then I'd tie you to the back of a pickup truck, and drag you, until your useless fucking corpse was torn to a million fucking useless, bloody, and gory pieces.

Hopefully you'll get what's coming to you. Fucking bitch

my fave LZ is when the levy breaks, that pounding drum intro along with robert on the harmonica and jimmy playing slide gives chills up the spine, crank it to ten and you'll see what i mean!. and your time is gonna come with JPJ on the hammond b-3 is beyond words.

In a musical sense "Stairway" is a masterpiece, but even Robert Plant recently said in a radio interview something to the effect that he thought the lyrics were so bad that he wished that he could re-write them.

And what, may I ask, turns you on CorkyNC????
    Britney Spears????
Led Zeppelin is one of those Bands I forgot to mention in a previous post as a Quintessential band of the 70's
(shame on me) and "Stairway To Heaven" is one of those ROCK ANTHEMS of the 70's for me, it takes me back to those times, better times, when times were good, wish I were back there again, I'd have some things to do.
