What a dumbass first comment.
I always assumed the song was from the perspective a bitter man: He hasn't got anybody and he can't figure out why the heck the "pretty women" are out with these guys (that I thought of as "buff" and large like gorillas)... what's wrong with HIM?
Why! He's a weenie, of course! He knows it. He tries to pretend to be cool, but he isn't and he knows it.
I may be wrong, but I sure don't think it's about race.
Sheesh!

This is one of those songs that always bring a smile to my face. It's also a song tone deaf people can sing at the top of their lungs and still sound good. Personally, my best friend and I used to sing it drunk on stage with a band. Oh the ovation we always got. P.S. We were not tone deaf. lol

Dawnie--the correct word is "imply." "Infer" is what the listener would do. People always get those mixed up. And, by the way, NO, probably NOT.

DEFINITELY NOT WHAT HE MEANT, ASSHOLE (Wahlberg). Im sure anything shiny in the sunlight that can provide u hours of enjoyment would make sense to u...but not everyone can be black and beautiful.
