Daft Punk Come 'Alive' on New CD

Daft Punk will soon be playing in your house. On Nov. 20, the French electronic duo will document their sensory- overloading live tour with the release of 'Daft Punk Alive 2007,' a CD that captures the booty-shaking show that quickly became one of the year's must-see concert events. A special edition version of the CD, featuring a bonus encore disc and 50-page book, will also be released.Additionally, a live version of the pair's 2001 song 'Harder, Better, Faster, Strong' will be issued as a single, no doubt prompted by the use of the tune as the foundation for Kanye West's latest single, 'Stronger.' The video for the song will feature footage shot by fans at the band's gig at New York's Keyspan Park.
One aspect of the live package that will be surprisingly absent is a DVD, given the show's unprecedented, and obviously expensive visual production (LED pyramid, folks -- 'nuff said), but according to Billboard, the band is simply not interested in documenting the visual aspect of the tour. Fans wanting to get an eyeful of the robot rockers will have to settle for 'Electroma,' the duo's feature-length ode to low-budget sci-fi flicks, which premiered in New York in August.
