Video of the Day: Bad Brains, 'Give Thanks and Praise'/'Jah Love'

Bad Brains' first video off their latest album, 'Build a Nation,' was filmed at this summer's Sasquatch Festival against the beautiful backdrop that is George, Washington. Produced by Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch and directed by System of a Down's Shavo, the video contains music from songs 'Give Thanks and Praises,' and 'Jah Love.' Shavo said he wanted to "capture what they are about, which is a certain intensity" with this video, which he described as "glorious film style" and "punk meets reggae."

Bad Brains themselves, however, had a slightly lighter take on the shoot. "We like the Black Bon Jovi in this video," Darryl Jenifer told Spinner. "All slow-mowed off the bus and s***, locks blowing in the wind like we were opening for Heart on Don Kirschner's 'Rock Concert.'"
