Canadian rockers Hot Hot Heat stopped by our Los Angeles studio recently for a rare acoustic performance of four tracks from their new album, 'Happiness Ltd.' While in the studio, they talked about their ever-evolving sound. "At first we didn't want to have a guitar player, so I just played keyboards" frontman Steve Bays told Spinner. "We all came out of heavier bands so we were really into math rock and weird, herky jerky kind of stuff." Bays also offered up his two cents -- albeit brief -- on the banning of their song, 'Bandages,' from the BBC, as well as the infamous 'Top of the Pops.' "Apparently it was offensive to make references to pieces of cloth that cover a wound," Bays cheekily responded. Bays and guitarist Luke Paquin also found enough breath to chat up video games, Canada, Rush and more.
