This aversion for Celine charging $5 million dollars per event is absurd. Celine Dion is a clear example of the American Dream. Celine Dion came from an impoverished family and now is a multimillionaire and she made it all by doing what she enjoys, singing. Moreover, her accomplishments are an inspiration to others that dreams do come true. This is clear in the "Live in Las Vegas: A New Day..." [DVD] during an interview with a woman from Holland. Who says that she realizes that dreams do come true.

This idea that some people are poor because other people are rich is stupid. Celine sells millions of records.Tens or thousands make money from those records. Those people take that money and buy things, pay bills. HELLO!! Millions of people saw Celine in Las Vegas. I saw her 10 times!! I only make 30,000 a year. I
save my money and buy $220 tickets and sit right in front of Celine Dion WOW!! I drive from LA spending money the whole way. I tip the valet, spend money at the hotel, tip the Maid, and all the other celine fans are doing the same thing! We all create jobs so people don't have to be poor. And I also send money to FEED THE CHILDREN every month to support 2 children who really are poor.Money goes round & round!! I wonder how many of the people that complain about rich people actully help the poor? I thank god for rich people..
Most of us wouldn't have a job if not for "RICH PEOPLE"
Do yourself a favor. Go see Celine Dion in Las Vegas.
Sit as close to her as you can.And when she starts to
sing you will smile and understand why so many people
LOVE her. And when you get home send some money to
FEED THE CHILDREN and cheer up. LIFE"S GOOD!!
Supply and demand is how the economy works, be thankful, don't knock the U.S.A.!
Those singers and movie stars wouldn't be making the money they are if it wasn't for the demand the fans have placed on them. Think about it, if a popular singer who currently receives $2 million for performing, told everyone that he/she would perform for $200, who would decide where and when they performed. Because every fan in the world would want them to perform at their event for $200. Then if the singer couldn't perform at each persons event, those people would feel slighted and would no longer be a fan.
Considering that there is only one singer, that singer operates on basic economic principals, raise the price for each performance until they only have enough events to fill their schedule. Remember, there is only one star and millions of fans. That star only has so many hours in a year to perform, why not get paid the maximum dollars for those hours? You would!
For example, if you worked an hourly job for $12 per hour and the store that is next to the one you currently work seen that you were doing great work and they offered you $40 per hour to do the same thing at their store, wouldn't you take the higher pay for the same job? Same with the singers and actors, someone offers $1000 to perform at their birthday party, someone else offers $5000, someone else offers $50,000 and so it goes. The stars will perform at the event that earns them the most money for that night, or that day, or that hour.
Capitalism, free markets, free will are where successful and motivated people want to live. So many people in this country think that someone else owes them something, whether its a job, benefits, retirement, health care, food, water, shelter, the list is endless. Stop worrying about what other people earn, get out there and make your own.
Look at the early history of this country, or even 50 years ago. People worked hard and they took care of themselves. The attitude of our grand parents and great grand parents was survival, not luxury. No one offered benefits to them or promised them a job, they worked for everything, many hours of every day. Also notice their lifestyles, our grand parents didn't eat out three nights a weeks, or spend $4 on a cup of coffee, or owned two cars, or had a 4 bedroom house. If they had a car, it was shared. If they had a house it was two bedrooms and the kids shared a room. Eating out at a resturant was for special events.
Start making your own success.
How about feeding some of the kids that are dying of starvation all across the world

People are stupid to pay the prices that some of these concerts charge . The singers just keep getting richer. They would not be where they are if it wasn't for the fan's in the first place. After they make if big they have nothing to do with their fans. Some of the stars are very demanding at hotels and restaurants. Oh, sure some of them aren't so greety But I can tell you that the majority of them are. When they go to award shows etc. they expect a goodie bag from different designers worth thousands of dollars. They are GREETY, Instead of them getting the bags, give them to charity and maybe auction them off and the money would go to a charity. This country of ours USA is not a good place to live in anymore. Between Government, Singers, Actors, Sports and Businesss owners the regular people don't have a chance in anything in this good old USA. We can't afford not much of anything the way prices are now a days and taxes..... People need to stop going to Concerts, Movies, Sport Events, Etc for a year and lets just see if prices come down.........

Because people like her are greedy enough to charge that much just makes me sick. That's why I don't go to concerts. No one is that good that I would pay to see any of them. There are people who work 7 days a week at hard labor and don't even make a 1/4 of what actors and singers make. That isn't work. This country is so backward, more pay for less work.
