Los Angeles, 1999: I did this photo shoot with Bob Dylan, which I was super-excited to get the call for. Basically, one of my goals was to just start photographing right away. I'm not just interested in the looking-into-the-camera, perfectly lit photograph. The location was the Ambassador Hotel, now torn down -- a place with a lot of history; Robert Kennedy was assassinated there. Dylan was super-psyched about coming to the place when he realized where he was going and all the history that was there. Every once in a while he would just take off down the hallway, and I would follow him. He just wandered into this room and wanted to check out the view, and I was right there waiting for it. It was a great moment -- you can definitely tell it's Dylan.
