PhotoSynthesis: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

New Jersey, 2004: They were rehearsing for the Vote for Change tour, going over the set list. The thing with Bruce Springsteen is that a lot of times I'm not on assignment -- they'll either ask me to come down, or I'll ask to come down. Basically, I went down while they were rehearsing. It wasn't that long ago, but Little Steven looks skinny! A lot of times at a live concert, it's in between songs, and I see photographers put their cameras down 'cause there's no guitars blazing and there's no lead singer singing into the microphone. I want to make sure I definitely have my camera up at that point, 'cause that's when something happens, like Bruce goes over and says something to Steven. To me, that's a moment that I want to see, 'cause you can always see them singing into the microphone.

As a professional Photographer I can say average pics at best. Probably would have deleted most of them they appear to be just about devoid of emotion. I could have and have done much better. My B.B. King photos show that emotion but it looks real.
