Teddybears Pay Tribute to the Bee Gees

"When we got the opportunity to work with the most powerful band on the planet disco, what else could we do but bow down humbly before the mighty gods of falsetto and accept gladly," Teddybears frontman Joakim Åhlund tells Spinner of the Scandinavian electro-rock trio's spin on Bee Gees signature, 'Stayin' Alive.' "We see it as a great honor to get the chance to re-work with such a classic track."
The track, which appears on the Teddybears latest album, 'Greatest,' enters the pantheon of 'Alive' remixes, including the popular take by Wyclef Jean on his solo effort, 1997's 'The Carnival.' "I always like the originals," Bee Gee Robin Gibb told Spinner, "but we're living in a day and age where people like remixes. "

They did a pretty good job remixing the song. I hate it when someone remixes a song and they mess with the vocals but I am they didn't.

I've not heard of the Teddybears (unless you count the early '60s girl group) -- but, in any event, it's awesome that these bands and singers are keeping Bee Gees music alive into the millenium and beyond.
