Art Gallery Opens 'Just Britney' Exhibit

We'll admit to having a somewhat rigid idea of what constitutes modern art, and, for better or worse, we've never thought of Britney Spears as a paragon of the form -- but thanks to some pressure from folks in the fine-art capital of Hollywood, we're going to have to reconsider our stance. Gallery owners Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbatos are opening an exhibit that they've dubbed 'Just Britney,' which, as the title indicates, is utterly free of artistic homages to Deborah Gibson, Lisa Lisa and the vastly-underrated Andrea True.

The exhibit is said to feature a number of views of the pop star, some sympathetic and some partial to taking away her existing children and crafting some medical method to prevent further spawning. 'Just Britney' also takes in a number of artistic media, including oils, watercolors and -- our particular favorite -- a portrait made entirely out of pre-chewed bubblegum. The last of the three makes perfect sense to us, since we -- like everyone else with a passing interest in pop culture -- have often felt the need to spit when Ms. Spears' name comes up in conversation.
