Sharon Osbourne Says Courtney Love Is a 'Virus'

Two of music's most outspoken women just keep on throwing punches at each other. Courtney Love vehemently denies Sharon Osbourne's claims that she introduced Osbourne's son, Jack, to OxyContin. "I never did that. I would never give drugs to a teenager. F--- you, Sharon -- as if I would ever give drugs to a teenager," Love said last week in London.

Today, Osbourne fired back, telling the New York Daily News, "I'm glad she doesn't like me. I only pity her. She's a virus. I don't want her anywhere near people I love. The cold, hard fact is she's a has-been."

In September, Osbourne told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I will never have time for Courtney Love. She was the first person to give my son Jack the prescription drug OxyContin. There's not a shadow of doubt in my mind about that."

"My dislike towards her is very personal," Osbourne continued. "I'm not saying Jack wouldn't have taken it if she hadn't given it to him, but I'm appalled that an adult mother would give that to a 15-year-old boy. How could she do that to someone else's child?"

Love asserts she had never heard of OxyContin until she met Jack. She added, "It was the first time I was ever introduced to the pills." Jack's use of the painkillers landed him in rehab in 2003. He's been clean since, and he recently wrote an autobiography called '21 Years Gone.'

Oh, for hell's sake!! Everyone has problems but no one wants to take responability for them!! Always wanting to blame somebody else. They all could have said NO, but chose the other road. Posse up, and take your own responseability.(sp?)

Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for yourself.

Wow...she calls Courtney a has-been?
HA! Sharon Osbourne should shut up, seeing as how she's a "never-been".

I don't really believe Courtney's never heard of OxyContin, but I'm sure she didn't give anything to Sharon's spoiled brat of a child.

Rough situation, people don't really know their limits. A drug treatment would work just fine for her: http://www.cliffsidemalibu.com/drug-treatment/ .

generally i like both sharon osbourne and courtney love. i've been a hole fan for over 10 years, and respect sharon as a businesswoman and person. actually, both courtney and sharon have quite a bit in common. both are strong, intelligent, opinionated women who are driven and passionate about what they do. people often trivialize courtney for her drug use and wild antics. they often don't realize that she's extremely talented, and often doesn't get the credit she deserves as an artist because she often lets other people influence her a bit too much.

i don't buy it either that she never heard of oxycotin, but i'm sure jack didn't run in good two shoes circles either. he should have KNOWN what could happen to him if he got involved in drugs--just look at ozzy. genes for addiction can be passed down, i believe, so the apple doesn't necessarily fall far from the tree. it was his own choice, and even as a C.Love fan i wouldn't put it past her having them while in jack's presence, but actually saying to him "here's some pills, take them" sounds ludicrous. even if she did give him the pills, he could have flushed them down the toilet or whatever. it was his choice, and as much as sharon could say courtney started it, he finished it.
