BEATLES WHO???????? THEY COULDN'T HACK IT IN ENGLAND???? The Beatles have more talent in their left pinky nails (for Paul and Ringo, their right nails) than most "artists" today have in their ENTIRE BODIES!!!

Rick makes a good point, but i believe that the Beatles' music is not just intelligent, it raises emotions that only we can connect to as human beings that stretch across DECADES. Call me a romantic philiophozing moron, but that's how i feel.

And what's wrong with being "pretty boys"? Paul, John, George, and Ringo could probably get more dates among them in ONE DAY than you in a LIFETIME. users Egypt and crypticmusings sure put the "lousy" in "jealousy"

To crypticmusings, I gotta be honest with you, you must be a complete moron simply because you don't like any of Beatles' songs. How can you not get them? Their music is intelligent and sounds good even today. I bet that if you ask any musician that YOU like, he will say that Beatles influenced him. How about that?

UMM, I don't reckon you should be dissing 'THE BEACH BOYS' and lauding 'THE BEATLES'. They have/had a mutual admiration society for years. Paul was inspired by 'PET SOUNDS' and angry that he couldn't match it but tried with 'SGT. PEPPER'. Paul McCartney said that 'GOD ONLY KNOWS' was the most beautiful song ever, (I dig it too, but 'DON'T WORRY BABY' is my all time favorite 'B.B' song).

To okokokok: The one and only reason why the Beatles made it to the level they did was simply this: they were EXOTIC for the times. They were a bunch of pretty boys with British accents and gils swooned. Period. They couldn't hack it in Ye Merry 'Ole England, so they came over here. They changed their images and musical style more times than Madonna, and suck as much today as they did back then. There isn't a SINGLE Beattles song that I like (unless it was another band doing a cover). I'm just pissed that Yoko Ono didn't catch any of the bullets too. Then again, that wasn't assasination or murder, it was a PUBLIC SERVICE!!!!!!!

Carve me a break! The Beach Boys were once a very good band, but they completely crumbled, mostly because of Brian's excessive living requirements. But, PLEASE, don't ever, EVER compare this band to the Beatles, who had it all throughout the 60's, and disbanded on a high note - one legacy that was not to be tampered with. What are the Beach Boys doing??? Playing republican fund-raisers! What a CROCK OF SHIT!!! Most likely, some of them are back on food stamps. Face it - anymore, the Beach Boys suck. Don't dare to even bring up the Beatles name in a conversation about the Beached Whales. This band lost it's magic so long ago - late in the 60's. They are no match for the quality of output that the Beatles gave so regularly and consistently. Comparisons to the Beatles are absolute blasphemy!!! KNOCK IT OFF with those Beatle comparisons!
There are many beautiful songs that Brian wrote, but they never crossed over into the next level of quality that oozed from the Beatles during that time!!
Brian wrote some really good songs....songs that I still listen to. The Beatles wrote songs that I will always listen to, until my dying days! A HUGE difference in the quality of songwriting.
