    Craziest Costumed Acts: No. 16

    Mudvayne

With stage names like Kud, Gurrg, RyKnow and sPaG, and a penchant for fake blood, alien masks and face paint, the Illinois band made a statement when it entered the alt-metal scene. When they abandoned their costumes in 2005, frontman Chad Gray said, "We felt the makeup added to the live performance. Unfortunately, we were, like, two minutes too late, because Slipknot came out, and we were like, 'Oh, man.'"

Can't deny they pulled it off well. The best part? They really wore this to an awards show. Who needs a suit when you can get something that represents your band?

MUDVAYNE was of my favorite bands... Until they turned emo-ish. They're still decent, but I wish they'd go back to their heavy, heavy, fantastic fucking music!

ya know what?i'm really tired o you people.the amount of talent it takes to scream your lungs out and play as fast as most of these bands do is 10 times higher than the amount of talent needed to rap.get off your high horses and quit judging people by their looks.
