    Craziest Costumed Acts: No. 20

Whether they're sporting blood-soaked masks or dressing up in drag, every day is Halloween for some musicians. Spinner counts down the craziest costumed acts in honor of the spooktastic holiday.

    Marilyn Manson

Whether he's channeling "Antichrist Superstar," "Omega" or plain ol' Marilyn Manson, every show is a freak show for the artist formerly known as Brian Warner. Manson takes his vampiric vibes so seriously, he never leaves home without his pancake powder and creepy contacts in check. MAC cosmetics should snap him up as their lifetime spokesmodel.

kiss wasnt a good band. the only thing that got them big is thier marketing. any garadge band with a smidgit of talent could play kiss to the T. im not a huge follower of Mr. manson, but as a musician i have nothing but respect for him. his song composition is by far one of the best out there. so dont knock his music, unless you have a true apperiation of music. (real music isnt on the radio) by the was, check out this link if you really hate manson.

    Dumbass!

I have seen a ton of cover as well as KISS tribute bands across the country try and fail to play KISS songs accurately. In every instance there a parts played wrong...Drum beats, guitar licks, bass lines, vocals, harmonies...I laugh when wanna be musicians try to down KISS' musicianship!!!

Take it from someone who plays guitar bass drums keys and sings, you haven't the slightest idea what the hell it is that you are talking about! I highly doubt that you have even heard 1/10 of their catalog...

    I rest my case!

    Have a nice day...

Marilyn Manson does not perform well live, but he is a well-spoken artist in water color paintings. He has made many portraits, and has his own gallery in France. Yes, he drinks absinthe while he paints, but then again, Van Gogh cut off his damn ear. So STFU haters.

He is a better composer than he is a vocalist. He is Satanic, and although he may provide the influence for drugs, sex, and violence, and maybe even Satanic acts. But people have a right to freedom of choice, and Freedom of Religion. SO STFU YOU JEWISH, CATHOLIC, AND CHRISTIAN BULLSHITTERS, YOU CAN KISS MY ASS IF YOU'RE PUTTING DOWN MY IDOL.

Marilyn Manson and his music fills me with inspiration for MY artwork, for I too am an artist. It's all about artistic expression. His earlier tours and concerts were all about things he had to say about America, so get a clue you pricks.

    Mr. Paul M,
I am sorry to disagree with you, but i do not believe that Marilyn Manson is in any way, shape or form Satanic. He is/was an honorary bishop of Leevay's Satanic church, but Leevay used the name "satanic chruch" as a shock value, and if you will read Marilyn Manson's Autobiography, you will find that he also uses Satanic imaging to bring attention to himself. Other than that, I commend you on your taste in music, and hope that you will not grow out of it. I grew up with this kind of music, and i still love it to this day (19 years later)
    Sincerely,
    Swashbuckler009

Wow, i love how completely and utterly retarded all of you are. He is a musician. So if you don't like how he looks, acts, sings..etc, then listen to your own music. Also, i like how people judge the Satanic religion as following Satan, thats not it at all. Read the Satanic bible and you will find that it's not about following Satan, it's living your life YOUR WAY and not following a "higher being". So all of you stupid bible-thumpers can take your MAN-MADE religion and just shove it because Anton LaVey can certainly prove a point better than the bible can.

Theatrics is fine. Let 'em do what they want on stage as long as they don't hurt anybody physically by doing it, and people will pay to watch them play, who cares?

Like some kid up there said, it's the same over the top theatrics you put into zombie movies, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc.

wow i like how there is a right or wrong path and without a fail, there will always be a biblefucking nut ready to spout their two cents into EVERYTHING wether it be war, music, art, or any real form of human expression despite the fact that in historical terms christianity is relatively short lived.

rather or not you like marilyn manson, or any of the other genres that fall under his category of music isnt the point. the fact that you have to make point to say how much you love him, or how much you think he's destroying this nation is pathetic. hes a person trying to make a living, with intense thought provoking lyrics, and he gets blamed for the destruction of this country and its youth way too much. in my opinion a lot of artists get hassled way too much. the fact is manson has not turned the adolescent population down a road of destruction, our government officials and religious leaders are doing that successfully enough. manson is merely following in the foot steps of greats like jim morisson, robet plant, ozzy osborn, ect. he is an inspiration to music, and a deeply profound and intelligent individual, and a very good artist to say the least. He will survive and has survived banter from right winged narrow minds and will again. Hes one of the best artists of the last 13 years.

    1.
    He is NOT Satanic.
Even if he was, Satanists are religious people.
    They don't all worship Satan.
If they did, they have every righ to if you get to worship God.
It is up to them on what they believe, if you bash them for having their own oppinion then you are pathetic.

    2.
Marilyn is not brain washing teens to kill themselves.
If they are stupid enough to beleive that is what Marilyn wants them to do, then it is their own fault.
As horrid as this may sound, one less idiot in the world.

    3.
What I really don't understand is why people like you go and leave bad comments just because you don't like him.
    Get a life.
FFS you are most likely an eleven year old that enjoys listening to "Disney Stars".
