Slipknot

Whatever your nightmare -- killer clowns, maniacal mimes, Leatherface -- there's at least one member of Slipknot guaranteed to freak you out. Since 2005, the band has allowed the mass production of their signature, omnipresent masks, which means any 10-year-old can dress up as an authentic pinhead gimp whenever he wants. Trick or treat!

I will argue that slipknot is without a doubt one of the most inventive and talented metal bands since Ozzy.

i agree with rOcK, theyre so innovative thats its hard to single them down to a specific genre. i knew for a fact that they would have made this list

SlipKnot is a Mr. Bungle ripoff. Compared to Bungle, they are uninteresting and commercial. Talk about a rape scene, they knew the younger kids wouldn't remember Mike Patton or Bungle or Faith No More. Who's the dung beetle that made this list up?? No Bungle? but you guys listed at least 5 bands that also ripped them off, including ICP. Jeezus, do a little research.

Slipknot is goddamn nothing like Mr. Bungle their sound is completly different. I have all Mr Bungles albums as well as other Patton albums and nothing they do sounds even close to Slipknot. They didn't steal shit.
As for ICP they don't look a thing like them not even the same type of muisic. Also Slipknot is way more talented than ICP.

ok i listen to the majority of these bands and i dont like this list it is kinda rtarded like i think marilyn manson should be higher on the list than 20 and why are people who just wear masks so high on the list? it takes more effort to do something like marilyn than to put on a mask and why is lordi the people who wear full body suits still lower?

Slipknot did NOT rip off the mask idea from anybody. Anyway, I'm curious why they used such an old picture. They've changed maskes a few times since that photo. (And, before anybody tries to call me a 14 year old teenager, I'm older than Clown. (eek)
