Tarantino Moves on From Dusty to 'Delilah'

Quentin Tarantino has a penchant for making music a vital part of his cinematic oeuvre, from his first film -- the cult classic 'Reservoir Dogs,' which featured the classic Steelers Wheel hit 'Stuck in the Middle With You' -- to Dick Dale and Dusty Springfield's 'Son of a Preacher Man,' in 'Pulp Fiction.' To that end, Spinner caught up with Tarantino on the red carpet of Spike TV's 2007 'Scream' awards earlier this week, to discuss the music for his next film project, 'Inglorious Bastards.' The writer/director, however, says it's a bit early for that discussion. "I'm right at the very beginning of the building blocks and how this gigantic house of cards is gonna work," he tells Spinner. "I'm kind of like that right now; I haven't got [to the music] yet."
Tarantino, instead, offered some insight into what he's been digging of late. "Oddly enough, I've actually been listening to the Top 40 station more often than not for the last year," he says. "Maroon 5, 'Wake Up Call,' Plain White T's, 'Hey There, Delilah' and definitely My Chemical Romance, 'Teenagers' -- those are my favorite songs right now."
Meanwhile, his 'Grindhouse' partner Robert Rodriguez, is a little further along in music for his project, titled 'Machete,' telling Spinner that he will be reuniting with 'Desperado' musicians Tito & Tarantula.
