Indie-folker Josh Ritter paid tribute to Bruce Springteen at Beriln's Stsaal Kreuzberg in September with an earthy and twangy take on the Springsteen classic, 'The River.' "['The River'] makes me think about being in a barrel about to go over the falls," Ritter tells Spinner of the song. "Springsteen writes amazing songs about the moments before everything changes forever." Keep reading to download the cover.

Is it just me? (I know fans will say 'of course') but I only like one Springsteen song. I think he only sings about 1/2 shade better than Barry Manilow, who without reverb, can't carry a tune in a bucket. Springsteen is WAY over rated.
There... I said it.
The one Springsteen tune I like? "I'm on Fire". Unfortunately, it's only about 2 1/2 minutes long. But for me, maybe thats enough Springsteen.

What's up with people picking on Bruce lately? The man is a legend. He's got a raspy voice, but he sings just fine to me plus I think it's sexy. I guess you have to have lived in the eighties to really appreciate him. But yeah, I agree with the other person. He's right up there with the other's as being one of the best. Just my two cent's worth. :@)
