Smashing Pumpkins Re-Release 'Zeitgeist'

It's only been three months since the Smashing Pumpkins returned with their new album, 'Zeitgeist.' Despite that, and despite having released it in five different versions initially, Billy Corgan and Co. are re-releasing the effort.

The pimped package, available today exclusively in Best Buy stores, includes a full-length DVD, titled 'Inside the Zeitgeist,' as well as three bonus tracks: 'Stellar,' 'Death From Above' and the previously unreleased 'Ma Belle.'

The unreleased track 'Super Christ,' meanwhile, will not be making its proper debut. The Pumpkins performed the tune at their recent AOL Sessions, which, according to Corgan, may be the only recorded version of that song that ever sees the light of day.

"'Super Christ,' is a song that was sort of germinated during 'Zeitgeist' and now we're playing it live every night," Corgan told Spinner. "Everybody seems to love the song so that would be, 'OK, that's definitely going to be on the next album.' But it may never come out. The AOL Session may end up being the only version that's ever recorded properly."
