The Sex Pistols were puppets for Malcolm McLaren you douchebags, who later I might add managed adam and the ants, and fired adam after a few weeks and hired a 14 year old girl to front the band and had her pose nude for one of their album covers. Granted the band most likely just got fucked over out of ignorace, so they may not be all to blame for the souless capitalism posed on their image and work. Be Anarchy, Be Practical

I don't know if you're so young that you think Green Day started punk rock or what, but the Sex Pistols are 100% punk. Maybe you should learn about what you're writing before you try to publish your garbage.

November 01 2007 at 12:32 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyLook...Punk Rock is pretty exclusively the music of disaffected youth. It spits in the face of the establishment and laments the bleakness of 'No Future'. No, it doesn't age well. And it's hard to flip off the establishment while appearing on 'The Tonight Show'.
But the Sex Pistols were instrumental in defining the genre. Their influence was huge, and remains so. The brazen declaration 'I am an Anti-Christ' is STILL shocking.
This reunion serves as little more than a nostalgia trip, but it's a band worth remembering, for they are legendary.
Yeah, but you could tell Johnny Rotten wasn't taking himself seriously, and they still rocked harder than most of the wimps that pass for bands these days.
