Led Zeppelin Reunion Postponed Due to Broken Finger

Those lucky ticket holders for the most anticipated reunion show of the year, if not the decade, will have to anticipate a wee bit longer. The reconvening of Led Zeppelin for the first time in almost 20 years, scheduled to take place at the O2 Arena in London on Nov. 26, has been pushed back two weeks, to Dec. 10. The reason for the announced delay is that Jimmy Page has broken a finger, which will preclude him from playing guitar for three weeks, on advice of doctors.

"I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks," Page said about the long-sold-out show, for which a million ticket requests were reportedly made. "However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high standards for ourselves, and we feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to."

The concert, a tribute to the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, will also feature Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings, Paul Rogers, Foreigner and Paolo Nutini. Information about ticket refunds, as well as other info, can be found at www.ahmettribute.com.

Patrick the point is they stole most of their popular songs from many un-known folk singer song writers. So they are the greatest Cover Band ever. I wasn't dismissing their talent..just their abilities to write the songs.

I had the great fortune of seeing them on the 77 tour in Pontiac Mi.(I was 17)It was a beautiful heavy snow night and I was with 20 or so of my schoolmates, what a night! Watched all nite long from about 40/50 feet from stage. Also seen Jason Bonham (Johns son)at a drum seminar in nashville in the early 90s. Jason is also a talented drummer.I hope I get to see Zep.again!!

Hey Ray, Why so bitter...Didn't get to church this morning? You need a big dose of HUMILITY.
And to the poster that said thier songs were "plagerised"...They were so far ahead of the curve...Noone was playing anything like it or even close to thier level, at the time...That's why they're legends to thier following, then and now. No-one will ever play as they do.Best rock band EVER...My opinion.

In reference to this comment: "THEY PLAY THE SAME OLD TIRED SONGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I WON'T LISTEN TO CLASSIC ROCK AT ALL ANY MORE, THERE IS NO LIFE IN THEM, BECAUSE JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. YOU ARE LOST WITHOUT HIM!!!"

Jesus hasn't really changed his setlist in quite a while, either. Quite repetitive.

I remember back in the late sixties I was in England on a "beer tour" with some guys and Led Zeppelin was called Lead Balloon....they played rowdy pubs and one of Paige's little "shows" was to drink paint thinner, and then they'd kill the lights and he'd light farts from the stage....some of those bad boys would shoot out 15 or 20 feet....it was awesome!....smelled funky, but when you were on acid it was the spectacle of a lifetime....the cops made them quit doing it when one night he burned the eyebrows off 16 people close to the stage....
