Manchester Orchestra Bring Rock Fury to the Interface

Manchester Orchestra are neither from Manchester, nor are they an orchestra. Discuss.

The Atlanta post-hardcore rockers recently brought their pulverizing blend of emo to our New York studio, performing four songs from their acclaimed album, 'I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child.' Frontman Andy Hull sat down to talk with Spinner, and was quick to discard the "Christian" label despite what their lyrics suggest. "It was not a conscience decision," Hull, who was raised in a religious environment, said of the lyrical content. "It was just what I was going through at the time. Any band that would call themselves a Christian band are probably terrible."

Manchester Orchestra is amazing! They are going to be huge, and while it saddens me, at the same time it's beyond amazing because they have done all the work for this themselves!

Definitely one of the best bands out there right now. They work so hard to do what they do, I've seen them play four different times this year and seen their frontman Andy Hull play a solo show as well, which is evidence of just that. "I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child" is one of the most beautiful records I've had the chance to hear. This band will be doing big things soon, just wait and see.

Manchester Orchestra is phonomenal! Their album has me excited about music again. It has been quite some time since music has been this good. They deserve every bit of recognition they get.

Honestly one of the best live bands I've ever seen in my life.

Their tour with Brand New and Kevin Devine was nothing short of phenomenal.

MO is simply amazing.
I have only been lucky enough to see them once live and I will never forget it. The album gives me chills everytime I listen to it. I don't think it could ever lose its touch. The emotion shown through the lyrics and the vocals is amazing and the music is fantastic.
