The latest video from the Killers boasts an array of impressive qualities (and frustrations, like Brandon Flowers' insistence on maintaining his wild-wild-West mustache). Images of candle-lit chandeliers, creepy doll faces and shadowy, paranoid camera work make the video a surprisingly haunting piece. The inclusion of Lou Reed, whose voice can make you shiver on contact, certainly doesn't hurt.
The former Velvet Underground frontman's deliciously dour contribution to 'Tranquilize,' a single off the band's rarities and B-sides collection 'Sawdust,' is a perfect fit for the Tim Burton-esque track. When Reed offers hesitant glances to the camera from a sea of blackness, delivering lines like "Money talks when people need shoes and socks" in his signature, gravely tone, it's sheer bone-rattling brilliance.
