Prince's lawyers have threatened to take legal action against fan Web sites in an effort to prompt the sites to remove photographs of the pop superstar.
In response to the recent demands, which the sites view as a violation of their right to freedom of speech, Prince fans have banned together and formed PrinceFansUnited.com.
According to a statement posted on PrinceFansUnited.com, "It is our opinion that these threats are not made in an attempt to enforce valid copyright as Prince alleges in his threats, rather we believe they are attempts to stifle all critical commentary about Prince."
This is not the first time Prince has asked fans to remove unauthorized content. In September, the musician demanded that YouTube remove all video clips from his London concert.

Dear Spinner,
...Prince fans have "banned together"???? Do you mean banded together?
When you write for public consumption you have the responsibility to use correct English and good spelling.

This would bother me if the idiot had any talent whatsoever. Luckily, he has even less talent than Milli Vanilli or Boy George--that is to say, none, or less than none. Here's to hoping he loses ALL his misguided fans.

I'd like to recommend Prince and Courtney Love tour together.
