Courtney Love Calls Madonna's Career a 'Joke'



In a long-winded, grammatically atrocious rant on Courtney Love's MySpace blog, the former Hole frontwoman takes readers through the maze of her brain -- sorta -- touching upon her new songs, Bob Dylan and Kurt Cobain (of course).

Navigating through the incongruence of Love's post is dizzying, but amidst the clutter, the chatty rocker takes a jab at Madonna calling her career "a joke". "Madonna is a great business woman but come on, she's weak as an artist and we all know it. I like Madge but as a relevant musician it's a joke.

"She's singing from such a calculating, thought-out place all the time. It's never from her gut or heart of intuition, so maybe it sounds great and slick and you can hum it."

Love and Madonna's "feud" took to film in 1995, when Love interrupted an interview between Madonna and Kurt Loder during the MTV Video Music Awards by throwing her compact at the pop star. well first of all both artists suck donkey,but i do respect madonna & i thought desperatively seeking susan was a fun movie!! lets face the facts.it's not courtney love,her real name is courtney hole,she is a horrible musician,cant sing or play guitar to save her life & she would be nobody,if she never met kurt cobain,also as much as i hate to say this,people here in the pacific northwest,feel she might of had a hand in kurts death,so any of you courtney hole fans can fuck off & die.

I can't really have any respect for Courtney, this is a woman who latched onto Billy Corgan to ghost write her Hole material, then latched onto Kurt, and I not even a huge Nirvana fan, she's been a trainwreck for years. Madonna even admits she not the greatest vocal talent, but she's been savy and has lasted.

Love is a genius! Not that there is any need to compare the two but lyrically and musically you guys really can't be serious to even compare her and Madonna artistically.

The thing that makes Madonna great, love or hate her, is that she's GREAT at recognizing NEW TALENT (i.e. J. Mello, for example). What the hell has Courtney-the-murderous-slimebag accomplished lately, besides further damaging the memory of her late-great hubby, the magical Kurt Cobain?

madonna is the so called queen of pop only-by virtue of sales only---she is a smart dancer and has done a great job changing costumes-S-e-x sells-as for miss love --well she is a smart sister too--a few well written songs meaningful to women --as for what it all is commercially-is one thing,what it all stemed out of spiritually-is entirely another-the situation

Madonna has always written or co-written most of her lyrics, coriagrapher most of her dance moves, produced her own albums (with the help of others). She is a self-made mega-star. She has let nothing or noone stand in her way of what she wanted. She has always stayed true to herself, her music, and her image. When someone can come from nowhere and withstand the ups and downs of the music industry for as long as she has, is one AMAZING TALENT and INCREDIBLE HUMAN BEING. Most others with this much crudential have either self-destructed or simply diminished. She has learned to deal with the criticism and jealousy and turn them into beautiful things....MUSIC. "ALL HAIL TO THE QUEEN!!!

It's ironic she calls Madonna a joke, when Courtney's entire life has been a joke. Actually, I suppose it's not a joke at all, it's sad that her life choices has caused such pain for her daughter and others. Nothing to laugh at there.
