Courtney Love Calls Madonna's Career a 'Joke'

In a long-winded, grammatically atrocious rant on Courtney Love's MySpace blog, the former Hole frontwoman takes readers through the maze of her brain -- sorta -- touching upon her new songs, Bob Dylan and Kurt Cobain (of course).

Navigating through the incongruence of Love's post is dizzying, but amidst the clutter, the chatty rocker takes a jab at Madonna calling her career "a joke". "Madonna is a great business woman but come on, she's weak as an artist and we all know it. I like Madge but as a relevant musician it's a joke.

"She's singing from such a calculating, thought-out place all the time. It's never from her gut or heart of intuition, so maybe it sounds great and slick and you can hum it."

Love and Madonna's "feud" took to film in 1995, when Love interrupted an interview between Madonna and Kurt Loder during the MTV Video Music Awards by throwing her compact at the pop star. "Courtney Love is in dire need of attention right now," Madonna said at the time. You know what they say about change ...

This comming from a druggy who can't even spell correctly? Madonna is the most sucessful gfemale vocalist of the entire rock era and it takes far more than being smart to do that. Madonna like Elvis will always be regarded as pioneer of the music industry some of these other artists need to get over it and stop attacking Madonna over pure and simple envy. She has earned her spot in history if anyone has the right to dismiss an other artist its Madonna something she has to much class to do anyways but it would be justified if she did, she will always be the "Queen".

Yeah, Madonna had sex with every photographer, producer, and musician to get her foot in the door.

She can't even make an album by herself but has to hire the top notch, whoever is hot at the moment producers and songwriters.

Madonna's isn't a musical pioneer, either: she steals other people's ideas.

She's been sued for copyright infringement and has lost a few of those cases.

Some people hate Madonna not because they are envious or jealous but because Madonna is a people-using, unoriginal, vulgar, slutty narcissist.

Madonna didn't pioneer anything. Disco and pop music were around way before Madonna was. Ever hear of Donna Summer?

There's nothing classy about Madonna.

Madonna posed topless in raunchy poses in her "Sex" book, says "F*ck you" live on stage at Live 8, and stuck her fingers down the crotch of her pants and sniffed them on stage on tour.

There's nothing classy about Madonna. Madonna is a trashy sleaze.

I think snoopy and clive are on the same drugs Courtney is. Madonna did pioneer the way for women to take control of there careers and everyone knows she did not screw her way to the top like Maraih and Celene who had to marry the record label CEO's to get ahead. Madonna has always been hard working just because she sold a slutty image that you two idiots fell for hook line and sinker does not mean she was a tramp. She has been married almost her entire career and has never cheated on her husbands, Madonna is just smart at selling images and there are a lot of foold that fell for them and cant tell fact from fiction. Idiots!

I admire Courtney, for her public display of jealousy towards Madonna. All these years she continues to play catch up with Madonna. It's sad when we all know where Madonna, stands as an artist and a singer. Madonna her self will be the first to admit that she is not the best singer. That is not why we love her. Courtney it's not all about the voice. It is sad she feels the need to bash other artist to get her some press time.And I lowered my self for giving this drunk pig alcoholic, and a candidate for trailer trash junky of the 90's any attention.
Sober up clean up and maybe you will be able to make a come back album. Oh! she is sober these days no wonder why she sucks! Have a drink and a needle you were more creative back then.

Courtney Love has never had a successful solo album or much a hit single. I bought her solo cd and it sucked so bad I couldn't give it away or trade it in at Amoeba on Sunset. So, I think she is far from being qualified as a Madonna critic. By living in Hollywood, there's a whole lot of f@#*ing going on. Which proves that not everyone is a star. If Madonna f@#*ed her way to the top ( which I don't think she did), then she must be really good in bed. Actually, she doesn't have to prove herself to anyone. She has provided for orphans in Africa, provided funding to medical clinics, donated money to AIDS charities, and etc. Warner Brothers's records survived on her record sales when other Warner artist failed. She along with Donna Summers, are this year's candidates to be inducted into the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame. I serious doubt if Courtney will ever be given the honor. Eventually, Nirvana will be in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. I'm sure Madonna would be happy to pay for Courtney's next stay at Promises in Malibu. Courtney would be in the shit hole if wasn't for Kurt's money. Kurt even compared Courtney to Madonna. In the long run, I'm sure somewhere the talented Kurt is extremely disappointed his woman is not in the same league as Madonna. Madonna is giving money to orphans while Courtney is giving drugs to then teen-aged Jack Osbourne. I loved the interview she interrupted between Madonna & Kurt Loder. She crawled on the stage kissing Madonna's ass. What an embarassment.
