Most Killer Songs: No. 20

As long as there have been songs, there have been songs about people dispatching other people to meet their Maker. Some genres have all but cornered the market on it: Country's rife with love-scorned murder ballads, and hip-hop's body count rivals some wars. Then there's death metal -- a musical subset so obsessed with slaying that it had to be disqualified from our countdown for fear it would entirely consume the list.

'Stan'

Victims: Superfan Stan and his pregnant girlfriend
Weapons: A thousand pills, washed down with an alcohol chaser
Gory Details: When adoration turns into obsession, Stan kills three people -- including his not-so-smart self. In the prelude to their deaths, Stan's final fan letter becomes a suicide note -- one that was ultimately never sent, as his car plummets into the water while he's writing it. Good thinking.

Just take enough drugs and you won't care what the lyrics are in a song, you'll just be listening to the tunes. Who cares about the lyrics anyway? They're almost as meaningless as religions are.

Em is with no doubt, one of the most talented artists in the world, and to knock his skill is just silly, you dont have to like him, just stop hating on him.. I wont knock you metal heads with songs with no meaning.. they just scream, but its what u like, and thats ok with me. when someone see's someone else doing things they want to do, they hate on them. fact. Oh yeah, and some only hate because of the fact he is white, and they hate that.

Obviously, you're not listening to the right kind of death metal, or just don't read the lyrics and make assumptions. Many death metal bands do, but saying the entire genre is that way is pretty...let's just say, generalizing. A large percentage of death metal writes about politics, dissent and hypocrisy. Some bands, like Nile, base themselves around a culture.

Trust me, BLACK metal is the worst. Then again, you probably don't give a hoot about non-top-200 stuff. :D

M&M and others are writing crap like this because they have a serious hate problem. There is no redeeming quality to this kind of music if you can call it that. A real man or woman tries to lift their brother or sister up, not write ballads about causing their death. Do you really want your children to be taught this crap?
