Musicians Box Out to Help Fight Hunger

To help combat world hunger, musicians, actors, models, photographers, celebrity chefs and more recently got in touch with their inner designer to create unique takes on the always useful, sometimes stylish lunchbox.

On Dec. 7 at 12AM EST, the Food Bank of New York City and the Lunchbox Fund of South Africa will auction off each celeb-approved food carrier to raise funds for their charitable organizations' "war against poverty." The results from the initiative, which first took place in 2005, and raised more than a hundred thousand dollars for hunger relief, are rather intriguing.

Lily Allen, for example, went for a collage-like street-art style, while Kanye West opted for minimal design and a message of hope. Sam Fogarino of Interpol blended his band's black-and-red aesthetic with its newfound appreciation for wild animals and Rufus Wainwright ... well, he got a little overzealous with the Bedazzler.
