Pop Star Makes Rainbow Out of Pets

There are plenty of musical circles in which accusations of doing unseemly things with a sheep are pretty much par for the course. The circle that includes Madonna, however, never struck us as one of those -- so our interest was piqued when a report suggesting the Material Mom might've taken place in such activity circulated in Britain earlier this week. While we were hoping for something a little less PG-13 oriented, we're still perplexed as to why Ms. Ciccone chose to dye all the sheep on her English country estate in various unnatural shades -- blue, pink, yellow and green -- for the purposes of a photo shoot destined for a coffee table book to be published by Vogue magazine. While the singer and her hubby Guy Ritchie -- who we like to consider the Pauly Shore of Great Britain -- insisted the colorization was temporary and harmless, animal rights groups have still expressed outrage, with the RSPCA fuming that the stunt "sends out the wrong message about how to use animals." We heartily agree, being of the belief that a couple of chimps could've been put to fine use rewriting the script for 'Swept Away.'

What's wrong with dying the sheep? I think it is a great, whimsical way to make things fun and colorful around her house. Especially for the children! I used to get a little chick for Easter, that was dyed various pastel colors. I thought that was the coolest freaking thing ever. We always ended up giving them to the Farmer next door :) You guys need to lighten up and have more fun!!!
