Grammy Nominations to Be Announced Thursday

Let the countdown to music's biggest night commence. The 50th Annual Grammy Awards -- appropriately, the Golden Anniversary -- will be held February 10 in Los Angeles, with nominations to be revealed this Thursday. Artists scheduled to announce the nods include 18-time Grammy winner Vince Gill, three-time Grammy winner Fergie, two-time Grammy-winning rockers Linkin Park, R&B singer-songwriter Akon, teen country sensation Taylor Swift and comedian George Lopez. We repeat, George Lopez.It's usually a safe bet that those artists reading the nominations will hear their own names called, so let's skip to our own predictions: Bruce Springsteen, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Bjork and the little British soulful lush that we all know and love -- Amy Winehouse. Here's hoping the Grammy board recalls the latter's 'Back to Black,' and not her bloody slippers. Or her crack finger. Or her arrest. Or her rehab stints.
