Politician Ditches Pop Diva for Jam Band

While we've always thought that a big noggin trumps a long face, we've never had incontrovertible evidence until this week, when reports emerged that Big Head Todd and the Monsters had replaced Celine Dion as Hillary Clinton's official musical accompaniment. Senator Clinton had run an online contest in order to let supporters choose a theme song for her campaign, and for some reason, the preponderance of voters cast their lot with the Canadian yowler's 'You and I.'

Well, while the Senator has managed to withstand the slings and arrows of her primary opponents, she apparently couldn't handle Dion's overwhelming vocal barrage every night and quietly dropped the tune in recent weeks. Her people have seemingly replaced it with Big Head Todd's 'Blue Sky' -- a tune that was originally penned to escort the Discovery space shuttle skyward back in 2005. Since that flight was one of NASA's rare successes in recent years, it's hard to knock the Clinton camp's choice -- although we'd be happier if Mrs. Clinton went out on a limb and kicked it old-school with some Bikini Kill.

I don't care if Big Head Todd supports Hillary or not... it is great publicity for this very talented band that no body wants to recgonize. They are even giving away their latest CD and other unreleased music. It is good stuff with great guitar and thought provoking lyrics. www.bigheadtodd.com

why shouldn't Clinton try to help his wife, Oprah is pretending to do some for Obama but what she is really doing is that she wants to see how many people that she can get behind her so that she can run for President in2012. She is a phoney

What is it about Celine Dion that so many people dislike? She has an awesome voice and is a terrific performer. She doesn't sound like an illiterate monkey performing rap crap, nor is she a slut like so many of those miniscule talented so called music "stars" pumping out trash CDs. Britney's CD leaps to mind, as well as Amy Winehouse and others who can barely sing. If Clinton wants to change bands and tunes, more power to her. I'll stick to Josh Groban. He is
    perfection.

This is very cool. BHTM deserve the recognition. They've been rocking audiences for over twenty years and are one of most over looked GREAT rock bands in the country. Way to go Hillary for recognizing talent when you hear it!

    Sincerely,
    Lisa
