Politician Ditches Pop Diva for Jam Band

While we've always thought that a big noggin trumps a long face, we've never had incontrovertible evidence until this week, when reports emerged that Big Head Todd and the Monsters had replaced Celine Dion as Hillary Clinton's official musical accompaniment. Senator Clinton had run an online contest in order to let supporters choose a theme song for her campaign, and for some reason, the preponderance of voters cast their lot with the Canadian yowler's 'You and I.'

Well, while the Senator has managed to withstand the slings and arrows of her primary opponents, she apparently couldn't handle Dion's overwhelming vocal barrage every night and quietly dropped the tune in recent weeks. Her people have seemingly replaced it with Big Head Todd's 'Blue Sky' -- a tune that was originally penned to escort the Discovery space shuttle skyward back in 2005. Since that flight was one of NASA's rare successes in recent years, it's hard to knock the Clinton camp's choice -- although we'd be happier if Mrs. Clinton went out on a limb and kicked it old-school with some Bikini Kill.
