12 Worst Christmas Songs: No. 11

    'Wonderful Christmastime'
    --Paul McCartney (1979)

Look, kids -- Daddy got a new synthesizer for Christmas! McCartney has reportedly renounced this creampuff in recent years, but the damage was already done. But you gotta give it to him: the old boy can write an irrepressible melody even when he sounds like he's puckered up from a half-dozen eggnogs.

I disagree with this listing. "Wonderful Christmastime" is one of my favorite Christmas songs. It gets me pumped up and feeling good.

This is not the worst Christmas song. I love it because it was out around 80 and it was a very popular song so you are so wrong

This is about as wimpy and sappy as they get. The only artist I know who can record pure CRAP and have it sell a million copies.

I don't know whether it's the pot he's been smoking since the 60's, but the drivel he's been churning out since then has been downright putrid. But there are some still some of his faithful out there that will keep buying it his records and sell out his shows.

Not this one, though. Let it be, Paul, let it be.

i am not at all suprised to see this song in the top dozen worst xmas songs. I would have to agree with whoever made this list. Now if only Blue Christmas could be on the list, that would make my day

They've obviously asked the wrong people. This is one of the better christmas songs. It makes you want to sing along..not open a vein.
