Yea I agree. Eartha Kitt's was much better. Some songs should just be left alone especially Christmas songs.

I agree, you can't beat Catwoman. Madge's (why do they call her that?) is just annoying, you're not Marilyn Monroe, and I'm sure she would be horrified if someone told her she sounded like Betty Boop anyway if she were still alive.

I just "CAN'T STAND" this song! I cringe everytime I hear it.....I don't know if it's because of Madonna, or what. I just think it plain sux!!!

I agree - I heard this Santa Baby this morning and I cringed. Even tho over 50 years old - Eartha Kitt's version will remain the sexiest Christmas song ever. A close second is K T Oslin with Barry Manilow on "Baby It's Cold Outside".

You have to hear the original Baby It's Cold Outside by Dean Martin. And someone should shoot Dolly and Rod for their version. As for Santa Baby....by law, stations should only be allowed to play Eartha Kitts version. Funny to be discussing her right after that great voice left us. Merry Christmas all!

Actually the ORIGINAL version of this song was Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalban (KAAAAAAAHN!) It was in an old Red Skelton movie called Neptunes Daughter. The Dean Martin verison wasn't till a year or two later.

Madonna has jumped on EVERY bandwagon and claimed it was her own. She can't sing, but can dance. That is all. She won't allow her children to watch videos on Mtv because they're to sexual. She was the torchbearer. Hypocrite!!!! Phony!! That's Madonna. Since her kiss with Britney, her cd sales have dropped. Has been, step aside.

This song is tongue in cheek - a bad girl pretending she's been good. There are few people more appropriate than Madonna to sing this song. The irony is perfect - or do you believe that a yacht is really not a lot?
