Love the song! And Clay! And all the haters as well!
Happy Holidays and have a happy new year!

Does anyone know if Monty python ever mad a christmas song?
Okay...I don't particularly care for Clay's music, and I've never even heard Sandi's version (despite loving her music)...
But did you waste time listening to this song? Seriously? It's about an older woman who has no family and no friends who care to show up. She lives alone in a house that used to be full of people, laughter and love. That's why "there's no reason for trimming the tree"
Like "Christmas Shoes" it may be heavily emotional but, also like that song, it hardly belongs on the "12 Worst" list. More likely it belongs on the "12 best" list- because it isn't just another "Jingle Bell Rock." This song takes you back to what Christmas is about, not just another crappy commercial set to music.
Speaking of gay...here's 5 more terrible holiday songs...

I love this song. NOT everyone has someone at Christmas and this song says that simply. It's about a woman in a nursing home where no one comes to visit. Christmas is not always happy for some. There are plenty of people without someone to be with on the Holidays.
The whole CD of Clay Aiken's is great. His version of Mary Do You Know? is awesome.
I hate his version of Oh Holy Night - can't stand his theatrical style of singing and frankly am offended by him anyway. Would rather hear the gorgeous voice of Josh Groban any day.

"Please Come for Christmas" by Charles brown. If I had one wish it would be to write about a dozen of these...& of course live off the royaltys for the rest of my life !!!!!!!!
