9. Thin White Stick

David Bowie has dodged his share of roses and beer cans in concert, but he surely never anticipated what would force him to leave the stage 20 minutes into a 2004 Oslo show. The Thin White Duke was hit with the thin white stick from a lollipop, hurled by a fan, which lodged inside his left eyelid. It was the same eye that he injured in a schoolboy fight with a classmate, a trauma that left the eye permanently dilated.

Have any of you seen the pictures of the little girl who got a screwdriver though her eye socket and not only lived but didn't lose the eye? Strange, but true. David Bowie's lollipop looks like nothing in comparison.

I agree, Moss... if ever a picture looked doctored up, this one definitely does.
But still, whoever was stupid enough to do this should've been given a good pounding from the Bowie audience... who the hell throws LOLLIPOPS? WTF? Must've had decent seats )or one helluva good aim) so they waste them on doing something too lame to even claim you did? Bowie's got some awesome eyes, never knew of the trouble with the one 'til now... he's a great artist, through anyone's eyes, to be sure. One of the few who still look sexy after decades of good music.
