Patti Smith Celebrates Birthday With Joan Osborne

2007 was a banner year for Patti Smith. The musical icon was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March, released her latest album, the all-covers effort, 'Twelve' and completed a world tour, including a headlining -- and homecoming -- slot at Lollapalooza. Punk rock's poet laureate wrapped the year with three sold-out shows at NYC's Bowery Ballroom, including a performance on her 61st birthday, on December 30. Smith was treated to a 'Happy Birthday' sing-a-long -- with cake and flowers -- before being joined onstage by Joan Osborne. The two then performed a duet of Osborne's 'St. Teresa,' off the singer-songwriter's 1995 breakout album, 'Relish.'
