Rockin' Football Facts: No. 20

Which NFL legend celebrated his first Super Bowl victory by cutting a country album? Which popular rock band got its name from Mike Ditka? Yes, football has always rocked. And with the NFL playoffs upon us, Spinner tackles the 20 coolest facts about music-pigskin collisions.

McFavre

Tim McGraw may be a regular at Tennessee Titans games, but his loyalty lies with his best bud, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre. McGraw has said that Favre is his No. 1 fantasy football pick every year, and Favre returned the honor by giving the country star a $79,000 motorcycle for his birthday this year.

Why would Favre give $79000 to someone that is rich instead of someone that really needs it?

It's the mentality of someone like you that makes the real football fans just sick!!!! Romo is a good quarterback and maybe even someday be a Great one. Just as Bradey is having a Fantastic year and as other quarterbacks in the past have had Great years. They all have something special and there fans should stand behind them! How ever to say that Farve sucks is just showing how much of a Non Football fan you are. Next time you decide to look....take a Gander at the Records and see who holds damn near all of them!! Besides the fact that the man has a Heart of Gold!! Plus the fact that he has a Love and Respect of the game that not to many players have. As a Greenbay fan I would really like to see the Pack in the Super Bowl, how ever the reality is there are 4 NFC teams still out there and on any given day they all can be beat. With all that being said I do hope that someday you learn to Love the game and all that play it.

ok first off it's sad that half you pricks cant evan spell,,lol.. second romo's a great gb he's young and has a great furure in football ahead of him..Havin his girl there watchin the game,,,,if you watched the game the cowboys where outplayed on Defence as well as offence so putting the blame on one indivisual is pretty arrogant.Gotta be a cowboys fan i see...The Eagles just outplayed the cowboys and you'll have that sometimes,,lol..Thats why you gotta love the game...Any givin sunday you never know who's gonna win.. Oh and for Browncat to say Brett Favre sucks!!..If romo has half the career Brett Favre has had then he'll get the nod in canton but he's gonna need more than he has around him now princess..

Bretts great, tims great but OMG buy him a victoria secret calendar or something (a guy thing) no need to show off the wealth. If they are truly friends you don't need to impress anyone!!

Why don't we just leave Tony and Jessica alone?? They both have a right to a personal life!! Neither Jessica OR Tony were the reason the Cowboys lost the game!!!! It was a game--for GOD'S SAKE!! This is the best year the Cowboys have had in a long time and Tony DID NOT LOSE THIS GAME!! Every player in the game that day was responsible for only the 2nd loss of the season!! Just like when Tony "muffed" the ball last year when then lost the game in the playoffs WAS NOT ENTIRELY HIS FAULT!!!! He did not put the Cowboys in a MUST WIN situation all by himself!! If they had ALL played better, they would not have had to put Tony in that position!! For three years, he sat on the bench as a "nobody"--no one ever HEARD of Tony Romo, but guess what?? We all know who he is NOW!! I love Tony Romo and I wish him the best on AND off the field!!!!

jnthnruss: I assume you are the spelling police. Maybe it would be a good idea for you to get your Thesaurus out and check some of the words in your post. By the way what the hell is a gp?,evan?,Defence?, etc etc. Now enough of that nonesense. We don't care if you spelled wrong either.. It does not matter. Football is a wonderful game, and all these guys are great players as far as I am concerened. It really doesn't matter to me who wins. I just love to watch this game. Good luck to all the teams and all the players who got a chance to try to go the Super Bowl.
