The Shins keyboardist Marty Crandall was arrested by the Sacramento police for a domestic violence charge against his girlfriend, Elyse Sewell. Sewell, a former 'America's Next Top Model' contestant, posted photos of her bruised arm as well as a blog post about the experience on her Live Journal account. She has since removed the post at the advice of her legal team.

Meanwhile, Sewell was also arrested after Crandall showed a bite mark on his arm to officials. She was later released.

The keyboard player allegedly assaulted Sewell while in an intoxicated state on January 4. Crandall is still in custody, with bail set at $25,000. Crandall's court date is scheduled for Tuesday.
