Hilary Duff on Britney

"When all that stuff came out about her not strapping her baby right. I was just like, 'Leave her alone.' My mom said to me, 'Do you know how many times I dropped you on your head ... ?' It just happens."

- Hilary Duff, July 2007

i really dont give a rat's @$$ about either one of them, but hillary does have a point. why do we even care about what celebs screw up at? why do we even care about celebs anyway? we should just leave them in peace because what they screw up at does not in any way affect our daily lives.

Hillary Duff is pretty well adjusted for a kid growing up in that lifestyle. B. Spears has got to want help, before she can get it. Her parents have already proved incapable- not to mention, has anyone noticed she is an adult. I don't know how far down she has to go, before she gets professional help- lets just hope she doesn't end up the puppet of a cult like Tom Cr....oh, thats another story.

Yes Celia, I see it happening all the time, people drive onto the ferry with their infants on the lap infront of an airbag - it's like playing russian roulette with babies!

I think Hilary's point is that being a mother is a learning experience and mistakes are made. The difference is most mothers are allowed to raise their child in privacy where there every parenting decision isn't front page news.

there is a difference between not being so uptight and "PC" as to not let your kids skatboard without helmets (or for that matter ride without seatbelts) and to be able to smack their butts if they are being little brats and not listening to the boss (because-yeah...-you ARE the boss when you are a parent, as it should be)and being drunk, dysfunctional, and emotionally untsable in FRONT of your children as that is having a MAJOR psychological and deep-seated affect on them that they will then have to go through years of hell and self-discovery to get over---whereas being dropped on the head, or falling from your skateboard/bike/horse-is simply a physical injury which will heal naturally and much less deeply ingrained as sitting on your spaced out naked mothers lap in the bathroom for an hour while police and other adults scream throught the doors...

So Hilary...your mom dropped ya on your head and you and she openly admits it? Wow! I have 2 questions for you....oh never mind. Now that I think about it you couldn't answer my question anyway. You obviously received severe brain damage from your mothers bad parenting that you could even read the question let alone understand it! Lets just hope she neglects to vote.

I'm pretty sure she was being sarcastic about the dropping on the head thing. I wish I could make the mistakes Brittney Spears does and have everyone say it's ok! I want to do drugs, shave my head, drive with an infant in my lap, let my dog poop on dresses, become and alcoholic, and many other fun things. Wow Americans really are great

All I can say is that the media isn't helping poor Britney out. And I can honestly say Brit is yeah, a bad mother, and I'm not saying that she shouldn't have lost her kids, but yeah, things happen, no one has a perfect mother. So honestly, why can't the media bother Paris Hilton about the fact that she is a racist, and a terrible person?? Why isn't that more important, instead we destroy a poor woman's psyche?? Better yet- and I'm not perfect because I obviously look on these websites too- but celebs are real people too, let's leave them alone.
