On This Date in 1946: Dolly Parton, the fourth of 12 children of Robert Lee and Avie Lee Parton, was born in Locust Ridge, Tenn.The Almanac Advises for January 19: "Be on the lookout for this particular bird, whose native habitat is the Southern United States. A songbird known for its unique call as well as its cascading yellow plumage, it is related to the tufted titmouse and the booby."
