- Rapper Lil Wayne was arrested near Yuma, Arizona, on Tuesday night for three drug-related felony counts, after his tour bus went through a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint and narcotics were allegedly discovered.
- Alicia Keys topped the charts for the third week in a row, selling another 61,000 copies of her latest effort, 'As I Am.' The 'Juno' soundtrack jumped up one spot to No. 2, with 58,000 copies sold. Meanwhile, Mary J. Blige performed similarly, with her latest album, 'Growing Pains,' climbing from No. 4 to No. 3 with 52,000 copies sold.
- New York rapper Busta Rhymes was sentenced to three years probation and 10 days of community service on Wednesday, stemming from the assault of his former driver and a fan. The rapper, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was also fined $1,250 for driving while intoxicated. In addition, his license was suspended.
