Experimental funk/jazz outfit Galactic get animated in their latest video, 'From the Corner to the Block'. The track, which features Juvenile and Soul Rebels Brass Band, was brought to life by Abbey Luck and Sean Donnelly. "It's vaguely about the creation and reforming a square based world," Donelly tells Spinner. Have a look at the pair's unique creation of dancing squares and paper monsters set to the jazzy grooves of Galactic, exclusively on Spinner.

Galactic has crossed over to another level, NOLA Hip-JazzFunk-Hop sounds slammin as always. The video is an visual analogy in regards to the unfortunate
state of urban life in post-Katrina New Orleans, highest murder rate in the nation with less than half the population of the city pre-Katrina.
Very simple graphic style with a message that would stand on it's own.
It's too bad they have sold their soul to a corprate monster to get the word out!
Keep it real!

Great art work. Great song. But not together. This doesn't go, or flow. You have a chance to highlight what people love about NOLA - Galactic, Soul Rebels, Juvenile, second lines, brass bands, the list goes on - but a different route was taken. Again, great art, but, man, I was really expecting something different.
And to our MakeitrightNOLA poster, you should check yourself before you diss the city that your "non-profit" development corporation is trying to help. Also, check your facts on ANTI- I don't think they are corporate owned, as they are owned by Epitaph. Makeitright though, whether you've sold your soul is another question...
