'Smile'
--Lily Allen (2006)
He calls her up for "a whine and a moan," but he was the one shagging the girl next door. Allen, who, according to her mother, once OD'd and slit her wrists over a boyfriend, gets the last laugh: 'Smile' was a U.K. No. 1.

The Salt in my Tears
by Martin Briley
"I saw you laugh when the knife was twisted
It still hurts but the pain has shifted
I'm looking back at the time that drifted by
But I won't cry for the wasted years
Cause you ain't worth the salt in my tears"
How can the Eagles' "Already Gone" not be on this list. This omission calls the entire list into question.

January 19 2011 at 7:48 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI was sure..."I Used to Love Her but I Had to Kill Her" (GNR) would have made the list. Great song..not real nice..nor appropriate in this day and age...but you gotta love it.

Her 1st release, a modest mid - chart entry, good recording, one of Motow's earliest releases, & (sortof) in the "Soul Music" category.
This just proves that these top 10 or whatever lists are stupid, the only reason this song is number one is because its new, read the lyrics to this song, then compare them to you outaknow, give me a break
