Marianne Faithful is the girl. She wanted Brian Jones, the cute one. She thought that Jagger was ugly, but she wanted a rock star boyfriend and took second best. But once she was hooked on heroin, she became dependant on Jagger, thus the tables were turned. When she tried to kill herself, Mick felt responsible and that's when "Wild Horses" was written. Or, at least, that's the way I heard it.
