Britney's Hospital Stay Extended + More

- Britney Spears' original 72-hour stay in a psychiatric hospital was extended by two weeks following the advice of her psychiatrist. Under a section in California state law, patients can be kept for medical treatment if they are found to be gravely disabled or a danger to themselves or others.
- While Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Super Bowl halftime show went off without a hitch, it still wasn't without controversy. The veteran has been accused of lip-syncing throughout his 4-song performance.
- 'American Idol' runner-up Katharine McPhee married her longtime boyfriend, producer Nick Cokas, in Beverly Hills on Saturday. This is the first marriage for the 23-year-old singer.
- Gang of Four have begun working on a new album -- their first of original material in 15 years. The as-yet-untitled effort is set for release later this year.
