"I just got an award given to me by a Beatle. Have you had that happen yet, Kanye?" -- Vince Gill

The singer, who took home the Grammy for Best Country Album, took the opportunity to zing Kanye on his bold behavior at Sunday night's ceremonies.

This was one great moment in Grammy history... Vince Gill delivered a beautiful jab at a kid who by anyone's standards deserved it. This guy is a brat. Trust me, I feel for KW in his time of grief, because grief is a very real and very deep emotional state. But he seems to take himself way over the top serious, unless I'm overlooking something here. Anyway, kudos to Vince who laid that out for all to see last night.. gotta love that. Especially coming from someone as gentle and kind and respected in the industry known as music...

I agree with Bob, I was really relieved for his sake to see that Kanye laugh too! They're both great performers and apparently have a sense of humor to boot!

I was thinking as he got the award, if that was me, I would say something about getting an award (even as a country singer) from a Beatle- then he said it- and a great jab. Lucky taken in spirit and he even said, no offense kanye. but a beauty of a dig.

Vince's remark made my night. I'm so sick of Kanye's arrogance...especially since he lacks any talent whatsoever.

Vince is great, and a great guitar player as well. Kanyes actions were disgusting and show where this country is going when you act like a punk on stage and get away with it. When they say wrap it up, wrap it up. Don't act like a intimidating jail house thug. He is a punk.

You couldn't pay me enough to watch the grammys. It's been taken over by loud mouthed, untalented, tattoed, pierced, drugged out and as J stated, 'jailhouse thugs' types. It's sad what it's turned into. I would've however, tuned in to see Vince deliver that zinger to that crap face, KW. Have never been able to stand that guy.

Shut up. If you haven't lost your mother yet, then you have no idea the unbearable pain, confusion, and sadness that never leaves. I lost my mother many years ago and I feel as though it just happened. I can imagine what Kanye is going through. Big deal, VG was able to get a witty line over a young man who is still in shock and devestated over the loss of his mother.

I LOVED Vince Gill's response to that arrogant blowhard. Vince should be hosting the CMT awards again - he is an abolsulute riot, but he also has a BRAIN, which mot "celebrities" can't claim.

No, Vince, Kanye hasn't received an award from a Beatle. HEY, Kanye.....have you slept with a christian singer while she was still married?

I dispise Vince Gill, he is a home-wrecker. His now wife, Amy Grant, was married when the two of them had an affair. They are hypocrites and not good christians as they claim to be. I bet they are are homopobics as well.

As for KW, I was touched by that song he sang for his mother. He loved his mother.

Haven't you all realized that he was teasing Kanye? Heck, even KANYE realized that. Vince even went on the record as saying he likes Kanye and admires his spunk. I personally have no use for Kanye but you all are treating this like Vince was trying to cut him down and that was just not the case.

I don't think Gill meant to dis West, but Kanye needed to be taken down several steps. K West is WAY too full of himself. He must kiss his mirror every morning. Its a gimmick that's getting old fast. He had my sympathies until he started acting like he was "entitled" to more time. God bless his mom & he still has my sympathies, 'cause losing his mom is going to be more difficult than he realizes now. Other than that, I wish he'd fall off the face of the Earth. God will demand more humility from him.

Its all in a persons character as we grow. Vince Gill lost his brother and wrote a song about it... we all hurt and greive and somehow we become better from it, so will Kanye, I hurt for him but he has changed and will be a wonderful person. But NO ONE has the rite to wears Jesuses pain.
