The logo for the most famous rock band of all time has perhaps the simplest origin story. It was designed in 1963 by Ivor Arbiter -- merely the man who sold Ringo Starr his drums -- and applied on Ringo's bass drumhead by London sign painter Eddie Stokes.

Please do us a favor..Leave the Beatles out of all of these lists... ALl the crap out now isn't worthy of putting anything to do with the Beatles. It is so beneath the Beatles

It's a bloody LOGO. The Beatles are above having their logo mentioned with other bands? Nevermind the fact that many of the other groups here are of an amazing talent level.
Yes, the Beatles were truly amazing and possibly the best band that ever has been or ever will be, but they're not at a point where it's "beneath" them to be mentioned with other music artists.

The Beatles are just a bunch of mopes, just like the rest of us. They just got lucky and at the right place at the right time. No big deal. I love their work as musicians, but they are just people. Rich people, dead people, but just people. Not too lucky in love it seems like, so pretty damn normal for the most part.

I honestly don't see how that logo is anything special. The Beatles may be the greatest and most influential rock band of all time but I don't see the point of them being on this list.

WHAT ABOUT THE "YES" LOGO?

what about soundgarden's badmotorfinger logo, or the audioslave flame? Beatles are over rated

Love em or hate em, there is no question the Beatle's had an enormous influence on rock and roll music... but if we just stick to the facts ma'am, and look at this logo for what it really is... it really isn't much of anything other than the word "Beatle's" in a particular letter font. Pretty sure I can rule this one out as a head-turner logo.

The Beatles are good... but this logo is just a plain font.
Shouldn't have been on the list.

you have to NOT compare 40+ years ago Logos to today. That is like comparing cave drawings to digital stuff.
Come on, had the Beatles been in a more modern era they would have had a more modern font. BUT the fact that they didn't and their name is so cool just in and of itself and the design is simple. The Beatles. What else do you need to say or show?
Man if you do not get it you do not get it. The Beatles are in a class by themselves. Of course this belongs on any list you want to put it on-The Beatles defy all challenges. They can handle the 40 years. Look, do you know what album covers looked like before Revolver? Plain photos, nothing!! They invented the changes that you love today~from A to Z.
Beatles-name another group that has radio shows dedicated to them EVERYWHERE regularly in the WORLD?

This is a band with not one but two logos:
the other one is a simple Granny Apple.
That's still very cool and current.

I feel sorry for the poster who said the Beatles are overrated. You younger people only know the Beatles as history. If you were around when they were in their prime (like I was) you would understand how groundbreaking they were. Sure, they were four young men, but they had the talent and they had the managen and the record producer around them to guide them and make it all happen. Theie logo should be on this list, but I think it should be rated more towards the Stones logo in placement.

I'm a big fan of the Beatles, but I really don't think their logo competes with the others.

now we know what Ringo did with the money for his singing lessons
