    Best Band Logos: No. 18

    H.I.M

Frontman Ville Vallo designed the metal band's "heartagram" logo, calling it a "modern yin-yang." 'Jackass' star Bam Margera loves the symbol so much he has it tattooed on himself several times, and Vallo allowed Margera to use it on his line of shoes and skateboards.

Thank you for including the Heartagram. Anyone who isn't familiar with the music of HIM is denying themselves one of the greatest pleasures of life. Heartagram.com can set you on the path to enlightenment and bliss...also www.myspace.com/heartagram or www.myspace.com/theninthsphere. Be sure to watch the videos, esp. the ones from Rock am Ring. HIM is such a great band, and Ville is a dream....a gorgeous, romantic singer and songwriter with a heavy metal heart. Love metal forever! (P.S. They are touring in Germany at the moment. Go check the tour schedule on Heartagram.com). HIM is the best.

Did someone honestly just say that HIM is one of life's greatest pleasures?

    Wow.

I believe they did, and as for myself this is some of the least pleasurable music on earth. HIM sucks, and their crappy logo sucks too. The only reason this band has ever gained any popularity is thanks to bam margera.

You obviously haven't been listening. It's your loss. By the way, HIM was a huge success in Europe and Scandinavia for years before Bam ever heard of them. I'll always be grateful to Bam for letting us poor, backwards Americans know about such an extraordinary and fantastic band. I can't imagine going to my grave without ever having heard Ville Valo sing. Please, in the future, refrain from insulting the world's greatest logo: the Heartagram.

I'm so glad H.I.M. was added. They're my favorite band. It's rather annoying that they spelled Ville Valo's name wrong, but whatever. Even if you don't like their music, the symbol is pretty freakin cool. Personally, I think they should be higher than 18, but they aren't as popular as other bands, so I guess it makes sense.

Although I think H.I.M. should have been higher than 18; I am so glad to see they are becoming more reconized in the US. They are my favorite band and have been for years(before Bam started using their logo)But it was cool for Bam to help more people become familier with them by putting the heartagram logo on just about everything he endorses. I got the same flying heartagram tattooed on me that Ville and
Bam have. I love the tatoo because of the uniqueness.

HIM is the best band ever! it ticks me off that Ville Valo`s last name is mis spelled but what are you gonna do? as for the heartagram, i think it is the coolest logo there is. Ville stated that the ying-yang sign was to boring and he wanted something different. and the band was good way before Bam started using the logo so he`s not the one that made HIM completely awsome he just helped out making their logo more popular.

Why are all these HIM haters posting on here? Obviously they're interested in HIM, enough to post something. Well I just recently became a full on HIM fan in January. In 2005 I thought Killing Loneliness was one of the greatest songs I ever heard, and then purchased Dark Light. I only liked a couple of songs on that album, so I was dissapointed and stopped listening to them. In January, I heard they released a new video in late 2007, so out of curiosity I searched on youtube. Instead I found the older Buried Alive By Love video and loved it! I back tracked all the old albums and bought them. I find myself not going a day now without listening to HIM's music. So take this statement to heart: Bam Margera or HIM's hundreds of thousands of fans did not influence my love for HIM. I usually listen to harder faster stuff, but love HIM's music. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT. Ville Valo has a great voice and does an awesome "Rebel Yell" cover, I actually like it better than Idol's version. See it for yourself here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=54jB3_n9qIA
It's amazing how a band from Finland was able to make such a well known logo. Regardless of popularity, it is a great symbol.

My boyfriend loves the heartagram, his skate shoes even have the heartagram on them. I think he would die if ACDC is on this list. It's his favorite band ever.

Are you kidding me? HIM sucks to such an extreme level that I don't know why anyone even considers them metal. THEY ARE NOT A METAL BAND! Congrats...
